At least some others are upset by it, but I can't even align myself with them because many who are upset compared EJ/Nicole to Kate/EJ. And that bothers me because the two are so completely different because, you know, when he was with Kate, HE WASN'T IN LOVE WITH SAMI AT THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the moment that EJ came back from Mexico when he realized that he truly loved Sami, he's been all about her, no other woman and now that he's THISCLOSE to finally getting somewhere, he's tempted by another woman!? And not just any woman, but Sami's other archenemy? Tempted enough to touch her face, and dive in for other kisses? Yeah, yeah, it was a plan for Sami to walk in on them, yeah, yeah, he didn't know that Nicole locked the door. DOESN'T MATTER. He IS tempted, and he IS going for it. Big whooping deal, he pulls away. I. Don't. Care. The EJ that I fell in love with, the EJ that HOGAN wrote, damnit!!! had eyes (and all accompanying body parts) ONLY for Samantha and wouldn't have gotten even remotely that far to begin with. Ugh, and what REALLY sucks is that the final scenes between them the episode before had a nice tension and chemistry that was a lot closer to how things used to play between them. So the possibility is still there, but, shocker! Higley is squandering it. God, I just hate how this is being written and I find what EJ did/is doing with Nicole out of character, beyond the pale and hurts my view of his great love for Samantha. And now, Spoiler [+] once Lucas comes back and Sami, of course, pushes EJ away whaddya want to bet that EJ's gonna hop into bed with Nicole faster than you can say stupid-ass plot contrivance?!?! Any doubt that I had that the EJami I loved and the great, beautiful love story that Hogan was crafting has pretty much been decimated was removed by how the sauna scenes played out. Whatever. I'll just take what I can get, but yeah, the obsession is gone. But for most of the fanbase, hey, as long as we see James shirtless and getting it on with anyone, provided of course that his heart {snort!} remains true to Sami, all is well. After all, it's only fair considering Lucas/Sami. Nevermind the completely different situations. Whatever. I want to be surprised and proven wrong, I want to see the upcoming scenes play out the way I hope for, but I'm not holding my breath. Not by a long shot. Last Edited By: JenniferH 05/14/08 7:53 AM. I find it a pity that so many are okay with what EJ is doing because "he hasn't gotten any for awhile", and "Sami is being mean" and "She is mean so he has no hope?" simply to see him shirtless. Why he suddenly is finding temptation (in the worst place possible, simply BECAUSE Nicole is such an enemy to Sami) when he's finally gotten proof that whatever her reason at the time, she does not want to lose him. She is definitely not ready for him to move on. Actually, putting Nicole as the woman that gets Sami into motion really makes Sami's reasoning to kiss EJ dubious. It could be argued that she only kissed him BECAUSE it was Nicole. That she reacted out of the desire of not wanting NICOLE to have EJ, because she hates her, not cause she discovers her feelings for EJ. That could continue for the reason why they "make love", she is pressured into this situation as much as she was pressured 29/12. She is in fear of losing someone, not to death, but to her worst enemy, which in some ways could probably feel like a death. There are just some things that people can do to you, that you love, that will actually change everything, things that you can't forgive them for or move past. Change the way you see them. EJ sleeping with Nicole, probably are one of those things for Sami. Just because I want Ejami, doesn't mean that I want them with everything beautiful dragged through the mud. Everything pure tarnished and destroyed. So that in the end, all we see are two people who once were shining, that had something pure and different and very fairy tale, are just two people who look hot together on screen, but with the same crappy background as everyone else on a soap. And even if sleeping around seem to be one of the corner stones of soaps, perhaps the age old "formula" that made soaps so successful in the past, is becoming a tired one and it wouldn't be so bad to try for something truly romantic. I doubt Romeo and Juliet would've been so lovely if they had slept with half the village before dying for one another. It's the whole picture that makes a story special, not just the final scene. It wont make any sense to me at all why EJ is tempted by Nicole. EJ never struck me as the guy (after he realised he was in love with Sami) that would be tempted by any woman until the day he was no longer in love with Sami, and/or had decided to truly give up on her.

Posts: 152 (05/14/08 3:11 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Okay you both have stated my exact feelings yesterday in fact i was hammered by alot of people for not realising that EJ and Sami are complex and i was trying to make two impure people into a fairy tale..my words but the gist of it. THAT WAS YESTERDAY TODAY OH MY GOD I"M CRYING LIKE A BABY HIGLEY HIT THIS ONE OUT OF THE PARK I was watching Canadian Days ahead bootleg clips by Scarlett and the whole episode was intense and we got the 12/29 discussion . For me it was brilliantly written and wonderfully acted. It also reinforced what I actually felt happened that night and it wasn't rape. Sami admits that something happened between them though it wouldn't have under any other circumstances because at the time she loved Lucas. She was hurt because of the way he treated her afterwards..sleezy. He said that the night he made loved to her not raped her, he did because he loved her and felt she loved him and that if they got together he could bring them back together but he soon felt that it wasn't that way for her and so he became disgusted with himself and Dimera style took out all his disgust and embarassment about his own actions on her. He said everything he has done since he saw how he had changed her life and deeply hurt, has been to make it up to her although he knows he never can . He said that night changed his life too and he is trying to be a better person. I can't begin to do the writing or acting justice. It was just so well done and the intensity of the acting was ..well you have to see it to feel it. The sauna scene with Nicole was better in hindsight though I still don't like it but EJ does pull away and says whoa I can't do this because I feel like I'm cheating on Sami and then when Nicole makes it all about his son , he says no lets make this clear I'm trluy in love with Samantha and he tells her his plan to get Lucas out of prison. Rolf telling Sami he overheard EJ talking to the Warden at the prison trying to get Lucas released opened up Sami's walls and she was waiting to hit him with both barrels when he came home late from the gym. She asked him why he would do that for Lucas and he said because she loves Lucas and he wanted to make her happy and then she hits him broadside by saying like the night Johnny was conceived and then it gets intense. Amazing episode. So cheer up gals..all is not lost. I forgot the best part ..the kissss oh wow

I agree those scenes very amazing and the acting was top notch. I truly hope the moment of weakness with Nicole will never happen again, and the same goes for Sami with Lucas... Although I'm dreading the kissing Sami will be doing with Lucas until she fesses up... sigh I still wish, and firmly believe, that the same effect could have been gleaned out of Sami in regards of Nicole, without EJ actually being so into the kissing with Nicole. Even if he sobered up in the end, that he says he loves Sami and continues to kiss Nicole afterwards, is just, blech. You know, people are very easy to forgive what EJ is doing, because of the wonderful things that were spoiled (at the same time) to come up between Sami and EJ, with the talk and the love making. I wonder if people would have been as forgiving yesterday if nobody knew these scenes were coming. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is all one can do at the moment. We're all at the mercy of TPTB. I do enjoy what was today, completely, and what is to come before the week is over. I don't know if any of you have ever watched Battlestar Galactica. There is a coupling there, that has never had a third wheel to them, and they are still very interesting, romantic and the most adjusted one of them all. They are married and have a child (granted he's a human and she's a cylon i.e the bad guys) I wish more writers could learn from that. There drama came from the fact that she comes from a race (well cyborgs) that had pretty much wiped out the entire human race. So if there is enough back story to people, like I feel there is with EJ and Sami, you have much to draw from without having to resort to a triangle or quadrangle (or whatcha call it). However, until next week I am going to join the Squee-parade and just enjoy the "napping". I'm not AS upset about the whole ordeal as I sound, I bark loud but it's a sort of venting, then I just accept that I cannot change what has already happened. :P Now I am just disgruntled and "do not approve", but as mentioned hopefully this thing with Nicole can be summarised in EJ "being only human". mutters PS. James Scott was amazing in his scenes today (when he spoke to Sami about the night), I hope this actor gets a shot at the big screen or whatever he would think is a challenge to his development as an actor.

He just seemed so real I had to keep reminding myself this is only a soap opera. i had tears streaming down my face at work. people thought something bad had happened to me. Ali also was hittpng all the right notes. They are just magic together and even though I've never been a fan of 12/29 other than the acting was over the roof in that episode too, I feel that this was so much more powerful because it was written not rewritten and it was actually what I saw during that episode and it clearly wasn't rape. It was EJ desperately trying to connect with Samantha , to bring her back to him again and you could see that is what finally touched her because she knew it was true and the thing that killed her the most about that night was that he treated her like a slut afterward because of his own shame and humiliation that she wanted Lucas not him despite having made love to him. he never believed because of his own ego that she wouldn't fall for him once they were togehter in that way . Instead she made love to him but then showed him the disgust she felt at having had to make the deal. It was not the response he expected despite the fact they made love..it wasn't rape. The light went off in her head and then when he said he told Nicole he loved Her..that was it the walls came down and she softened toward him. It was so perfect. Higley couldn't have written this better and James and Ali ..they deserve an emmy .

And that the EJ that I love so much would never have been tempted by Nicole because his love for Samantha was so strong that he never have seen another woman outside of her. Still, EJ and Samantha have a wonderful chemistry anyway. The Ejami of old that I fell for and would rush home to see, that I was obsessed with seems to be gone. The way they could share a look and make you believe in love, I will miss that greatly. I believe that everyone secretly believes in a love that strong, that we all long to feel love and chemistry like that. We just don't believe that we'll ever truly experience a love like that, or we are too afraid to wait for it. ( Yes, my name is CODaysGirl, and I'm a secret romantic...don't tell anyone) Anyway, most guys, and especially soap guys, would be tempted by Nicole. Soap guys in particulat would definently be up to blowing their dreams out of the water right when they are about to get their dream. I just always thought that EJ was above being a regular guy, much less soap guy. He has so Much MUY MUCHO MORE potential, then to be just another guy. And I am using the term 'guy' on purpose. EJ could have carried any story and still have been a 'man'. Let Lucas be a 'guy', he's good at that part. Back to Ej and Nicole...Yes, their scene in the sauna was 'hot' and 'steamy' and the Luni's will have a field day with it, but you know what, I still didn't feel any chemistry between them. They are a very pretty couple together and I can see them being friends and confidents. But their make out scene had less chemistry then a simple look between EJ and Samantha has. I'm not worried about EJ and Nicole. I am worried about some things that I've read on other sites (speculation follows): 1) I'm not worried about this, but I thought I'd mention it...Samantha and EJ make love TWICE before Lucas catches them. She can't claim temporary insanity after 2 times...YEAH!!! 2) Sami signs the annulment papers this month...I can't decide if this is good or bad, I could be persuaded either way. 3) Sami and Lucas move back into the apartment together. This one I think is wishful thinking on someone's part. I don't see how this can happen if Lucas is under house arrest. And the post I read said it would happen in May, can't see the house arrest being overturned in less then a month. I stil hope tha we'll get the EJami that I fell in love with, but even this EJami has more chemistry then any other daytime couple that I've seen in...maybe forever.
